What You Can Expect
As a Collections Manager, you will lead the day-to-day collection and accounts receivable activities that support ENGIE North America's cash flow objectives and customer portfolio management. This role is responsible for overseeing collection strategies, monitoring delinquent accounts and aging balances, driving timely resolution of disputes, and partnering with cross-functional teams to reduce outstanding receivables and mitigate credit risk. The Collections Manager will manage relationships with external collection agencies, payment processors, credit bureaus and other third-party vendors as required. Success is measured through improvements in accounts receivable performance, reduction of overdue balances, achievement of collection KPIs, and implementation of process improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. The Collections Manager collaborates regularly with Finance, Customer Operations, Credit, Billing, Sales, Legal, and business leadership teams, while leading a team of collection professionals, providing performance updates, and overseeing collection strategies that balance revenue recovery, customer retention, and regulatory compliance. This role sits in Houston, TX reporting the Head of Operations.
What You'll Bring
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. In Lieu of a degree seven (7) of education and relevant work experience may also be considered
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit, collections, cash management, or a related finance function
- You have a minimum of five years of experience leading, supervising, or managing employees and/or teams
- You have demonstrated experience managing collection activities, delinquent accounts, aging balances, and customer payment recovery processes
- You are knowledgeable in analyzing accounts receivable performance metrics and implementing actions to improve collection results and reduce outstanding receivables
- You have experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, including Finance, Billing, Customer Operations, Credit, and Legal teams, to resolve customer account issues and disputes
- You are knowledgeable in using Microsoft Excel and enterprise financial systems to analyze data, monitor performance, and prepare reports
- You have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and business leaders regarding collection strategies, account status, and financial risk
- You have the ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment
Additional Details
This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; working three (3) days in the office, two (2) days remote

Salary Range: $102,000 - $156,400 USD annually
This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.
ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
