Regency Oaks is recruiting for a hospitality focused Lead Cook to join our team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department. Is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Lead Cook:

• Clarifies and organizes all evening paperwork and posts next day's production schedule.
• Assists the kitchen staff in all aspects of daily assignments, as required.
• Monitors labeling of all products in the kitchen.
• Assists in daily shift change walk-through of kitchen staff.
• Ensures that each plate leaving the kitchen meets high presentation standards, is a quality product and is properly portioned.
• Responsible for the direction of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
• Assists in creating, planning, costing and executing menus, theme buffets, specials and holiday menus.
• Assists with food orders, production sheets and related material.
• Assists the chef in executing all catered and special functions.
• Supervises utility workers on daily cleaning projects.
• Informs the Executive Chef of all activities and operational problems, making suggestions for improvement and corrections as needed.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Two to three years restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience.
• Supervisory background desirable.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
• Background screening through AHCA.

Pay: $19.00/hr.

Schedule: Full-time (5 days a week).
