Registered Nurse - Medical Telemetry

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description: Join a team dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Our Medical Telemetry unit includes comprehensive monitoring and care for patients with a range of conditions requiring telemetry observation.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and perform patient assessments.
• Monitor telemetry readings and report significant changes in patient status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare patients for various procedures such as Endoscopy and IR.
• Document all care activities and patient responses accurately in EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in Medical Telemetry preferred.
• Leadership experience or previous charge nurse experience is a plus.
• BSN is preferred but not mandatory.
