School Psychologist - Elementary School Opportunity - Columbus, OH

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a school-based opportunity supporting Grades 3-5 in the Columbus, OH area for the upcoming school year.

This position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive public school district, collaborating with educators, families, and special education teams to help students access the services and supports they need for academic success.

Position Details

• Location: Columbus, OH

• Start Date: September 28, 2026

• Duration: 36 Weeks

• Schedule: Monday-Friday

• Hours: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM

• 37 Hours Per Week

• Pay: $70/hour

• Elementary School Setting

• Travel between two school sites

Assignment Overview

The School Psychologist will support students in grades 3-5 across two campuses and will primarily focus on:

• Educational Team Reports (ETRs)

• Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)

• Psychoeducational evaluations

• Eligibility determination and special education support

• Student testing and assessment

• Collaboration with school teams, families, and administrators

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments

• Complete ETRs and eligibility documentation

• Perform Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)

• Support students transitioning into the district

• Interpret assessment data and prepare reports

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Participate in IEP and special education meetings

• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations

Qualifications

• Active Ohio School Psychologist License or eligibility

• Experience working with school-aged students preferred

• Strong assessment and report-writing skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple campuses

The School Psychologist works to support students through a variety of mental health and developmental issues and aids in qualifying students for additional support services. The School Psychologist is responsible for providing on-site psychological services to students under the jurisdiction of the state and district.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must maintain current State licensures and/or certifications in state of assignment

• Experience in pediatric and adolescent population is preferred

• Master's degree in psychology preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
