Description: This position is for a Nurse in an overflow medical surgical unit. The unit has 30 beds and provides care for various diagnoses including CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI. The nursing staff is supported by PCTs on the unit. RNs are required to titrate heparin drips based on APTT results. There is no vent support, but intermittent BIPAP may be used. Telemetry monitoring is available, with observations managed remotely by monitor techs. Nurses will have scheduled weekends and holidays as needed, typically working half of the total weekends. There is no floating requirement unless based on census needs. The dress code for this position is navy blue scrubs. Candidates must disclose any licensing hits at the time of submission.
