Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense

Job Overview A law firm seeks a licensed Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant experience to join its office in St. Louis, MO. This role offers an opportunity to advance within a firm specializing in civil defense and insurance coverage litigation. Duties Assist in managing insurance, personal injury, premises, and transportation litigation files. Defend case files from inception through trial, including handling depositions, drafting motions, and attending court hearings. Prepare detailed status and trial strategy reports for clients. Oversee all aspects of discovery, such as drafting and responding to interrogatories, production requests, and requests to admit. Requirements Licensed and in good standing with the Missouri bar; Illinois license preferred but not required. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proactive in seeking guidance. Solid research and analytical abilities. Deposition and meaningful litigation experience preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
