Responsibilities for a RCA with Phoebe Richland:

• Assists with orienting residents and their families to Meadow Glen upon admission and to the facility when transfers occur.
• Must be able to use principles of good body mechanics in lifting, moving, and transporting residents.
• Communicates and interacts effectively with the geriatric resident. Answers resident's call bells in a timely manner.
• Provides individualized care to residents according to the resident's care plan such as bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.
• Attends to the individual needs of residents while maintaining their comfort and dignity.
• Assists in maintaining a safe, clutter free and clean environment.
• Observes for changes in the resident's condition or behavior and reports these to the LPN shift supervisor immediately.
• Provides care that maintains the residents’ skin integrity such as changing incontinent residents, turning and repositioning residents in bed etc.
• Observes for changes in skin integrity and reports these to the LPN shift supervisor immediately.
• Follow instructions given by the Resident Care Supervisor, LPN and Administrator.
• Prepares residents for appointments; such as, beauty shop, activities, doctor appointments, family visits/outings, church services etc.

Requirements for a RCA with Phoebe Richland:

1. The ability to deliver excellent customer service to all residents, families and co-workers.
2. A high school diploma, GED diploma.
3. Med Tech Certification is preferred.
