Occupational Therapist - UTMB Clear Lake Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Monday Friday, 40 hours a week. 8a 5p with one hour for lunch OR 8:30a 5p with 30 minutes for lunch (to be decided during interview) No weekends HCSS traveler orientation (virtual): Monday, January 5th, 2026 HCSS virtual new employee orientation Required Epic training (in person): Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 in patient Epic class at the Galveston campus GSA is not guaranteed orientation week and the week after. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed. Education & Experience: Master’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program Currently licensed in the State of Texas. Minimum three years Outpatient experience Required certification: Certified Hand Therapy (CHT) required, BLS thru American Heart Association Job Description: Directs the evaluation, development, coordination, and implementation of occupational therapy intervention provided to patients. Serves as a patient advocate assuring the delivery of occupational therapy meets legal, ethical, and institutional standards while adhering to the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the department and the organization.
