- Patrol assigned areas or maintain a fixed post to monitor activity
- Control access points and manage pedestrian/vehicle traffic
- Identify and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns
- Respond to alarms, emergencies, and on-site incidents
- Monitor CCTV cameras and security systems
- Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation
- Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times
- Follow all post orders, company policies, and safety procedures
- Maintain knowledge of emergency response protocols
- Inspect property for safety risks (fire hazards, equipment issues, etc.)
- Support loss prevention and recommend safety improvements
- Greet and assist customers, employees, and visitors in a professional manner
- Provide directions and support as needed
- Maintain a visible, approachable presence on-site
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stay alert and respond calmly in emergency situations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor
- State Guard license is required
- Prior security or customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with CCTV, alarms, or access control systems
- High level of attentiveness and situational awareness
- Dependable and team-oriented
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic with a sense of urgency
- Arrive on time in full uniform and ready to work
- Stay engaged and proactive throughout your shift
- Follow all safety, training, and compliance requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old (21 in some states depending on client/armed posts).
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Possess a valid state-issued Security Guard license/guard card (where applicable).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation (personal vehicle preferred) and willingness to travel to multiple sites.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on short notice.
- Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must have a working smartphone for scheduling, communication, and reporting purposes.
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
- Customer service experience in high-visibility or client-facing roles.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Adapt quickly to different sites, post orders, and client requirements.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including incident reporting.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe environment.
