Position Overview This is a part‑time, on‑call Janitor position supporting sites across Joint Base Lewis‑McChord. Applicants must have availability for both day and swing shifts on an on‑call basis. Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Halls and High-traffic area Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Entrances and Exits Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean entry doors according to schedule. Trash – empty trash in office areas, lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker according to schedule. Supply Restocking – restock supplies according to schedule. Dusting – dust in restrooms, shower/locker areas according to schedule. Stairwell Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe handrails according to schedule. Shower Cleaning – clean all shower stalls, damp wipe for dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross‑contamination procedures. Janitorial Supply Closet/Locker – keep clean and organized. Qualifications Communicate courteously and helpfully with others. Work independently in a fast‑paced environment. Paid on‑the‑job training will be provided. Physical Requirements Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Reaching, kneeling, walking, standing, and use of repetitive motion for several hours at a time. May require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, walking, standing or sitting for several hours; climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up/down stairs may also be required. Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods. Requirements Valid State Driver’s license required with ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance company. Must obtain and maintain applicable security clearances; background checks will be conducted.
