You will play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to all the residents, visitors, and coworkers.The District Manager manages and directs the overall operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments in numerous skilled nursing facilities in an assigned geographic area in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. The District Manager is responsible for providing leadership to ensure the facilities are clean, sanitary, safe, secure, and adequately supplied so the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all time.This role requires travel to the Maryland and Delaware area. Travel allowance will be provided.Benefits of YonaComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insuranceEmployer paid life insurance401(k) planCompetitive paid time offEmployee assistance programWages on demandDiscount & wellness programsCareer growthResponsibilities:Manages in compliance with company policies and proceduresVisits each facility in the district on a regular basis to meet with managers and provide feedback on their performance to assist with their professional developmentMaintains contact with clients to ensure satisfaction with services being provided by Yona.Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures and proper operation and maintenance of equipmentSupervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by the Environmental Services Directors and Supervisors.Maintains an environment that is in sanitary, attractive and in orderly condition at each facility in the district.Forecasts and plans the purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipmentReviews and analyzes all reports for the districtInterviews, hires and orients Environmental Services Managers and Supervisors for facilities in the districtMaintains proper staffing levels at each facilityMaintains knowledge of any applicable Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) in the districtAttains financial goals for each facility in the district by managing a cost-effective programMaintains required records including but not limited to; inventory, compliance, income/expense, and personnel recordsConducts regular management staff meetings and communicates with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activitiesMaintains the departments to be survey-ready at all times, assuring the department operates within federal, state, and local regulationsMaintains excellent relations with residents, visitors, and all community departmentsActively participates in facility meetings and committeesPromotes the professional growth and development of the entire departmental teamConducts quality assurance rounds and inspections to ensure current quality controls and methodologies are suitable and sustainableReports monthly initiatives, goals, and accomplishmentsPromotes and monitors resident satisfactionPerforms the job assignments of a housekeeper, laundry worker or floor care technician as necessaryOther job duties as assigned by the supervisorRequirements:Four year college degree and equal related experience strongly desired; high school diploma/GED requiredTwo years’ experience in housekeeping services and multi-facility management in a healthcare environment is desiredGeneral business acumenSkilled in motivating and supervising staff membersExcellent interpersonal skills, customer service and quality attitudeAbility to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectivesPublic speaking skillsExcellent stress management skills, administrative and organizational, and follow-through (with associates and clients) skills requiredAbility to interact positively with residents, client and other personnel and the publicAbility to work all shifts as neededProficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookMust be able to work around cleaning chemicalsMust be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of timeThis posting in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.
