GENERAL LABOR/MAINTENANCE (PAINTER) (FULL TIME)

Job Summary We have an opening for full time GENERAL LABOR/MAINTENANCE (PAINTER) positions at Baxter Healthcare – 911 North Davis Avenue, Cleveland, MS 38732. Online applications are accepted only. Full‑time schedule: Friday‑Tuesday; hours may vary. Fixed Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Surface preparation and repairs: clean, sand, scrape, and patch surfaces; fill cracks or holes; perform minor repairs (drywall, plaster, textures); prepare areas for painting. Paint application and finishing: mix and apply paints, varnishes, and sealants; sanding, buffing, and applying multiple coats to achieve a high‑quality finish. Protection & equipment maintenance: protect surrounding fixtures, furniture, and floors; follow safety protocols; clean and maintain all painting tools and equipment. Provide quality customer service with one‑on‑one attention to detail. Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures. Performs minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture. Records information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions. Adjusts and performs minor repairs on heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems. Regularly replaces HVAC air filters. Monitors building security and safety by locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use. Moves heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or using hand trucks. Mows and trims lawns and shrubbery; removes debris. Notifies managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems. Removes snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas. Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events. Performs ad‑hoc cleaning of building floors (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming); gathers and empties trash; services and cleans restrooms. Drives vehicles required to perform work. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications At least 2 years of experience required. Valid non‑CDL Class C driver’s license may be required. Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
