BaristaAt Magnolia, the Barista is responsible for creating the Magnolia Press experience for our guests by providing prompt service and quality beverages, as well as maintaining a clean and comfortable environment, in line with the Magnolia brand. Baristas may also assist at other Magnolia foods entities as business needs require it. This position works from Magnolia Press in Waco, Texas. It reports to the Store Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a calm and friendly demeanor during periods of high volumeAnticipate guest needs and provide exceptional guest servicePerform cash wrap and point of sale duties in an efficient and timely mannerEducate guests by presenting and explaining the menu and answering questionsPrepare and sell food and drink products by following approved recipes, preparation, and cooking or baking techniques; ensuring that all equipment is properly utilized per recipe and safety guidelinesPrepare ingredients for each recipe by chopping, dicing, slicing, washing, and using additional techniques as neededHandle, prepare, and store food in ways that prevent foodborne illnesses and ensure compliance with all food safety standardsFinish all product to specific visual requirements in accordance with Magnolia standardsCommunicate with management regarding status of products, quality control issues, problems with equipment, or unusual conditions; adhering to established loss prevention and inventory control proceduresMaintain a clean and safe work environmentEvaluate and modify processes in order to improve efficiency and quality of serviceContribute to a positive team environment, including giving and receiving feedback and assisting in other Silos Foods entities as neededPerform other duties as assignedMetrics evaluated on Performance ReviewCompetenciesTeamwork: Contribute to a team environment supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
