Emergency Room Technician

Pay Range Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education. Position Specifics Department: Emergency Core Function: Nursing Support Schedule: Part-Time / 24 hours / Night Shift Facility: St. Anthony’s Hospital Location: Effingham, IL Education Qualifications High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required. Experience Qualifications 1 year healthcare experience is preferred. Certifications, Licenses and Registrations Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire. EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) or CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) certification is preferred. Responsibilities Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well‑equipped environment.
