Machinist Operator; 1st shift; $25/hour

Machinist Operator – 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm) – $25/hour Position Overview The Machinist will produce precision parts and modify parts to make or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines. What You’ll Do Setup and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines. Machine parts to provided blueprint specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders. Verify conformance of machined parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks and dial indicators. Maintain a safe, clean, and well‑organized workspace. Follow all health and safety regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Reads and understands blueprints. Experience manufacturing cold head tooling preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team. Physical Requirements Work in a manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand and walk for the majority of an 8 to 10‑hour day. Bend, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day. Push or pull product up to 200 pounds. Use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time.
