The company is seeking a dedicated Front Desk Associate to join our Front Office team at The Westin. As the Front Desk Associate, you will serve as the welcoming face of our organization, ensuring every guest and visitor receives outstanding service from the moment they arrive. Job Summary The Front Desk Associate is responsible for managing front office operations, greeting visitors, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times. Key Responsibilities Greet all guests, visitors, and employees promptly and professionally upon arrival Manage incoming calls, route inquiries, and take accurate messages as needed Coordinate check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area Schedule appointments and manage calendars for meetings and visits Process incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries Respond to guest and customer inquiries, resolving issues or escalating as appropriate Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations and communication Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Prior experience in a customer service, front desk, or receptionist role preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred Qualifications Experience working in an office, hospitality, or corporate front desk environment Familiarity with visitor management or scheduling software Bilingual communication skills a plus Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Comfortable operating multi-line phone systems Basic knowledge of office equipment (printers, copiers, scanners) Experience with front desk or visitor management software is a plus Strong typing and data entry accuracy Application Information This is an in-person position based in Downtown Detroit; remote work is not available for this role.
