We are currently seeking a Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in the State of Florida to join our expanding team.

Position Summary

The Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern will provide outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families while practicing under supervision requirements established by the State of Florida. This role offers flexibility, clinical support, and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative private practice environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health counseling and therapeutic services to children ages 5 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families
• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and clinical screenings
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide services through in-person and telehealth platforms
• Maintain availability for evening appointments (up to 7:00 PM) and limited weekend hours based on client needs
• Complete clinical documentation within established timeframes, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge documentation
• Coordinate care with families, schools, medical providers, community resources, and referral partners when clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with colleagues to support continuity of care and treatment outcomes
• Participate in supervision and consultation activities in accordance with Florida requirements for Registered Clinical Social Worker Interns
• Maintain ethical, professional, and culturally responsive clinical practice

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern in good standing in the State of Florida
• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
• Experience working with children (ages 5+) and families
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain documentation deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience providing services through telehealth platforms
• Experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, family systems, or community-based interventions
• Knowledge of case management, care coordination, and systems-based approaches to treatment
• Training in evidence-based modalities and trauma-informed care

This position is classified as an Independent Contractor (1099) role. Contractors are responsible for maintaining all required Florida registrations, liability insurance, supervision arrangements, and professional obligations associated with independent practice requirements.
