Land Planner
EC Land Partners
Company Description EC Land Partners is a Texas-focused land development company that manages, entitles, and subdivides large tracts of rural land into more affordable 2-10 acre lots across the Texas Triangle. Founded by two native Texan brothers with 30 years of combined real estate experience, the company is growing and currently operates five active developments. EC Land Partners is building a small, high-performing team to support its expansion while maintaining a lean operation. The company is committed to being reasonable and fair, upholding strong principles, and doing right by buyers, partners, and investors alike. Role Description We are currently looking to hire a part-time Austin area Land Planner / Development Coordinator (10-15 hours weekly to begin with) who has experience with rural county and small-town land development and entitlements, who knows the process, works independently, follows up, and gets things done. Maybe you're an assistant at a surveying, engineering, or development firm - or a county development office - and want the extra hours, responsibility, pay, and the opportunity to try us out before moving over full time with a promotion. Maybe you're a retired planner and want to keep a hand in, or maybe you're raising young kids and need real flexibility. This role is built for flexibility: you own your responsibilities and hours, which vary with project demands. Tasks would include preparing and filing driveway and development permits, tracking plat applications and culvert approvals, coordinating utility taps and service applications, managing ag exemptions, attending county planning meetings, coordinating with engineering, survey, and real estate teams, and helping to shape layouts that meet regulatory requirements while keeping projects organized and appealing to budget-conscious buyers. The role involves preparing planning documentation, assisting with permitting processes, collaborating with local jurisdictions, and maintaining clear records and reports to support project approvals and execution. If you like the outdoors and hands-on work, duties could also include property photography and site visits. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in rural Texas Land Use Planning and Land Use analysis to assess feasibility, constraints, and compliance with local regulations. Candidates should possess skills in Rural and County / Small-Town Land Development to support project design, subdivision strategies, and coordination with public agencies. Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing Site Plans to ensure functional layouts, access, utilities, and alignment with project goals. Relevant experience in rural or residential land development, entitlement processes, and dealing with planning and zoning departments is required. We are open to the amount of experience, however, and pay will be commensurate. Proficiency with mapping and design tools (e.g., GIS, CAD, or similar software) Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively on-site with a small team, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a lean, fast-paced development environment on your own time with a weekly meeting and periodic scheduled planning meetings. #J-18808-Ljbffr
