Nurse Manager

Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager has 24/7 leadership responsibility for all clinical, staffing, quality, and financial management for the unit. Ensures an effective patient care delivery system that is compliant and consistent with standards of practice. Implements strategies, processes, and standards to ensure operations support the key organizational and departmental initiatives such as quality of care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Promotes collegial relationships between the unit and other departments or disciplines across the Medical Center.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Prior management experience in an acute care setting
• Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of Title 22 and Joint Commission Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collect, analyze, and interpret data, including report creation and data validation
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification
• Prior experience in unit specific service line business
• MSN or equivalent

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support

Education:

• Bachelor of Science, Nursing
