Bring your Certified School Nurse (CSN) expertise to a supportive, vibrant elementary school environment near Romeoville, IL! We're seeking 1–2 dedicated CSNs or CSN students to provide essential health services at a busy campus, known for its collaborative spirit among administrators and office staff. This contract role runs through 5/28/27, with a schedule of 8:25 a.m.–3:40 p.m. each school day.

Ideal candidates will spearhead health office operations, conduct comprehensive medical reviews, and actively contribute to IEP and 504 Plan processes. You’ll help shape a caring, responsive environment for general education students as well as those requiring complex health and personal care support, working closely with a knowledgeable school nursing team.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Professional Educator License (PEL) with CSN endorsement (more than just an RN license required)
• CSN coursework completed or in progress (1–2 years typical)
• Previous experience in school nursing preferred
• Experience with electronic health record systems and technology
• Willingness to support students with personal care needs as part of the team
• Reliability and strong attendance, essential for student continuity
• Team player: flexibility, initiative, and readiness to step in where needed
• Spanish fluency highly valued

You will:

• Oversee the health office and ensure accurate documentation
• Manage student health needs throughout the school day
• Perform medical and health plan reviews
• Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans
• Collaborate with staff to foster a healthy, inclusive school environment
