About the Role

If you love building big-picture strategy, strengthening client partnerships, and keeping complex programs running smoothly, this role is a great fit. You’ll lead regional account strategy and performance for a major Life Sciences meetings program, working in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where precision, collaboration, and smart problem-solving matter. This is not an operations or meeting planning role, but is focused on client relationship building, team performance and strategy . From contract renewals and financial performance to stakeholder engagement and operational consistency, you’ll help shape what success looks like for both the client and BCD M&E. This is a high-impact role with plenty of room to influence growth, innovation, and long-term partnership.

You’re Good At

• Building trusted client relationships and leading strategic conversations in a professional, compliance-focused Life Sciences Meetings & Events environment.
• Managing budgets, pricing, forecasting, and profitability while keeping a close eye on account health and business growth
• Turning data, trends, and program insights into clear recommendations that drive adoption, improvement, and results
• Partnering across operations, finance, legal, and leadership teams to keep complex global programs aligned and running smoothly
• Leading teams, setting clear expectations, and creating a culture of accountability, development, and collaboration.

You Might Also Have

• 10+ years of meetings and events industry experience, including 5+ years in pharmaceutical meeting planning/management, and 5+ years in account management and/or strategy. Experience in managing accounts focused on Non-HCP Meetings, HCP meetings and Research and Development meetings (Investigator Meetings) is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of meeting operations, staffing models, forecasting, and meeting technology within structured, deadline-driven programs
• Experience managing large, multi-market (US & Canada) accounts with a focus on service quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
• Confidence presenting to stakeholders at every level, from local meeting owners to global program leaders
• A naturally strategic, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt as priorities shift.

• This role supports global teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones and may require flexibility outside standard business hours.
• This role is virtual for candidates located in the US. Occasional travel is required for this role.

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:Less than 25%

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Regional Account Director, Pharmaceutical Strategic Meetings Management Program is between $85,000 - $120,000. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
