Principal Engineer, National Tax (Indirect Tax - Tax Technology & Transformation) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) Location: Dallas, TX. Responsibilities: Advise clients on navigating the digital age of tax transparency and new trends in tax compliance, acting as a subject matter expert to solve the most pressing tax technology challenges. Monitor assigned tasks to completion, including documenting requirements, configuration, testing, debugging, and implementing process changes. Develop leading practice indirect tax software solutions and support automation of internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. Consolidate tax data to improve analysis and planning. Align solution architecture with organizational technology and business strategy and ensure compliance with architecture standards. Work side‑by‑side with tax‑technical subject matter professionals to deploy data and technology solutions that enable efficient, high‑quality tax consulting. Support project team members to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Lead and direct diverse teams, provide constructive feedback and coaching, develop and maintain long‑term client relationships, manage risk, and generate new business opportunities. Working hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Travel: Requires domestic travel up to 50 % and/or international travel up to 20 %. Minimum Requirements Minimum of 8 years of related work experience (or 7 years with a master’s degree) with 5 years post‑baccalaureate progressive experience. 7 years of combined experience in tax technology and/or business process strategy. 7 years of combined experience identifying ways to automate manual tasks using financial systems, tax systems, or emerging technologies. 7 years of combined experience defining robust architecture for new applications, leveraging existing building blocks, or creating reusable components. 7 years of experience with process analysis tools, process mapping, and flow chart diagramming. 7 years of experience in designing and developing databases and web‑based applications for engagements using SQL Server. 7 years of experience developing ETL solutions using SQL and/or Azure Data Factory. 7 years of combined experience managing large, multidisciplinary projects, including ERP implementations, tax co‑sourcing engagements, or finance transformations. 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office VBA development and/or the Microsoft Power BI suite (Power Pivot, Power Query, Power View, Power Map). 5 years of experience managing engagements, including budgeting, billing, client contact, and escalation to partners or executives. 5 years of experience supervising at least 2 people on multiple projects and providing direction. At least one of the following certifications/accreditations (examples include: Certified Digital Product Manager, Project Management Professional, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Microsoft Certified Azure, SQL Server Database Certification, etc.).
