Operating Room RN – Surgical Services

Schedule - Shift: 12-hour days, Monday–Friday, rotating - Call: Approx. two 8-hour shifts within a six-week schedule and one 24-hour call shift in an eight-week schedule

Assignment Details - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Daily volume: Approximately 45 cases, 17 rooms

Requirements - Minimum 2 years recent acute operating room experience - Must have experience in acute operating room within the last 6 months - Traveler experience required - Required certification: BCLS - Strong experience in at least two of the following areas: Neuro Spine, Ortho Spine, Vascular, Robotics

Roles & Responsibilities - Prepare and maintain the operating room, including equipment and supplies - Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures - Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and workflow - Perform patient assessments and plan for care before and after surgical interventions

Compliance / Notes - Orientation includes a minimum of 36 hours - Pre-start modules required (non-billable) – approximately 8–10 hours - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays - COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
