Join our fiscal team as a Fiscal Officer 1 (HSA) in Honesdale, Wayne County, PA. This position supports the financial operations of county categorical programs within the Wayne County Human Services Agency. The work will be focused on maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and reviewing financial data across several grants and programs. Responsibilities Grant Accounting: Track and reconcile housing related grants, prepare invoices and reports. General Ledger Work: Prepare entries, reconcile accounts, maintain accounts receivable and revenue records. Program Support: Assist the Aging program by preparing reports and interpreting financial data. Compliance Monitoring: Review invoices, monitor provider expenditures, ensure adherence to contract limits. Budget Assistance: Support budget monitoring, cost allocation processes, audit preparation. Supervision Duties: Assign work, approve leave, complete performance evaluations for one Fiscal Technician. Work Schedule and Additional Information $2,000 sign‑on bonus. Full‑time employment. Work hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday‑Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch. May include irregular hours, including evenings, weekends or holidays. Overnight or out‑of‑county travel for meetings or training may be required. Telework: Not available. Salary: Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases. Qualifications Two years as a Fiscal Technician and six college credits in accounting; or Five years of bookkeeping experience and six college credits in accounting; or Three years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business‑related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or One year of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business‑related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting. Other Requirements You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information, refer to the Residency Guidelines. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Legal Requirements You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law, including submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports.
