This role includes evaluation, treatment planning, team collaboration, and supervision of therapy staff, all focused on improving residents’ independence and quality of life.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate residents within required timeframes and develop individualized treatment plansProvide therapy services per physician orders and established goalsDocument evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with regulationsSupervise COTAs, aides, and students in accordance with state practice actCollaborate with the interdisciplinary team on care planning and patient progressParticipate in care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehab meetingsEducate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy programs and discharge plansAssist with durable medical equipment (DME) recommendationsProvide staff training and participate in in-servicesEnsure compliance with all state, federal, and payer requirementsQualificationsDegree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor’s required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred)Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in good standingExperience in skilled nursing or rehab setting preferredFamiliarity with PointClickCare and Casamba preferredStrong clinical, documentation, and leadership skillsWe are an equal opportunity employer.
