Construction Project Manager

Location: Madison WI, 100% onsite - 6am Start Time

Contract: 9 months - based on performance and business needs

Construction Project Manager

• We are looking for an experienced, highly organized Construction Project Manager to lead a multi-phase project from initiation through closeout.
• This role is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction, managing subcontractors, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Define project scope, deliverables, and specifications; prepare construction estimates; and manage budgets.
• Scheduling & Logistics: Develop detailed construction schedules with milestones and coordinate the movement of resources, materials, and heavy equipment.
• Contract Management: Prepare bids, negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors, and manage change orders.
• Compliance & Permitting: Secure and issue required permits and ensure all work complies with local, state, 29 CFR 1926 OHSA regulations and national building codes as well as environmental regulations.
• Safety & Quality Control: Enforce safety procedures, conduct safety inspections, maintain OSHA standards across contractors, and oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
• Stakeholder Communication: Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience: 3 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Skills: Excellent communicator, financial analysis, and time-management skills, along with proficiency in construction management software.
