Manager, Data Engineering

General Summary The Manager of Data Engineering will lead a team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure data availability, integrity, and security, enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes to support business needs. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with industry standards and best practices. Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to enhance data processing capabilities. Qualifications Proven experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data architecture and ETL processes. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
