Job-ID: 14276Category: GeneralistLocation: Los Angeles, CA, United States; San Francisco, CA, United StatesSchedule: Full timePosted: 2026-10-05Closes: 2027-10-05Job Summary:The Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics Manager is responsible for leading, executing and delivery of challenging valuation engagements by participating in all aspects of projects, from the initial proposal preparation, through project completion. In this role, the Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics Manager is actively engaged in the management of business valuation assignments and managing staff in the development of such assignments. In addition, the Valuation & Capital Markets Analytics Manager will be charged with assisting with business development activities and appraisal reviews. Job Duties:Performs related company, industry and economic research Analyzes client financial statementsConstructs financial modelsAssesses operational profitability and financial conditionsDevelops and reviews cash flow forecastsPerforms benchmark analysisDocuments and maintains all appropriate aspects of work productComposes narrative reports in support of valuation analysesPrepares necessary exhibits and memos in illustration of complex issuesEnsures quality controls are adhered in association with all work productsParticipates in internal and external client meetingsAssists and provides guidance to peers and staff members in the development of project plans and timelines for deliverablesOther duties as requiredSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises the day-to-day workload of VCMA Senior Associates and Associates on assigned engagements and reviews work product Ensures VCMA Senior Associates and Associates are trained on all relevant valuation databases and models.Evaluates the performance of VCMA Senior Associates and Associates and assists in the development of goals and objectives to enhance professional developmentDelivers periodic performance feedback and completes performance evaluations for VCMA Senior Associates and AssociatesActs as Career Advisor to VCMA Senior Associates and Associates, as appropriateQualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Education:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant field requiredMasters in Business Administration preferredExperience:Five (5) to seven (7) years of business valuation experience in a Big 4 or national basis requiredSignificant experience in business valuation and intangible assets requiredPrior experience in financial reporting valuation and appraisal reviewLicense/Certifications:CPA, CFA, AM, ASA or other valuation industry credentials preferred Software:Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and WordPrior experience with Capital IQ and Bloomberg preferredLanguage:N/AOther Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Superior oral and written communication skillsSuperior analytical and research skills Solid organizational skills especially ability to meet project deadlines with a focus on detailsAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentProven ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously Capable of effective managing a team of valuation professionals and delegating work assignments as neededCapacity to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and client personnel Ability to encourage team environment on engagements and contribute to the professional development of assigned personnelExecutive presence and ability to act as primary contact on assigned engagementsAbility to successfully interact with professionals at all levelsAbility for intermittent travel within the US and internationally requiredIndividual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.National Range: $95,000 - $150,000Maryland Range: $95,000 - $150,000 NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $95,000 - $150,000About the companyAt BDO, how we show up matters.
