TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Princeton, West Virginia, 24740!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Women's Center - Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Yes Certifications: Basic Fetal Monitoring, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS Certification Must-Have: Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines, Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum Care, Ability to Circulate and Recover Cesarean Sections preferred Description: The unit has 12 Labor and Delivery beds. There is 1 Operating Room suite. The unit includes 1 triage bed and 4 Postpartum beds. The unit experiences 80-100 births per year. Ratios follow AWHONN guidelines. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common titratable drips include Oxytocin, Insulin, and Epidural. There is a Charge Nurse or House Supervisor on duty. OB techs are available on the unit. An OB/Neonatologist is not in-house 24/7. RT equipment available includes Cpap, Bipap, and Vent. Telemetry is available on this unit. RNs can read strips. The EFM system used is GE Centricity. Shifts require weekend work every other weekend. Holidays require either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. There is a call requirement with 3-4 call shifts in a 6-week schedule. Nurses must be available and present to work within 30 minutes if on call. There are no floating requirements. Scrubs are provided in-house. Intra-departmental orientation is provided.
