This facility is a flagship hospital, licensed for 815 beds. Healthgrades named this facility as one of America’s 50 Best Clients from 2020-2023, identifying the top 1% of hospitals in the nation for providing the highest clinical quality year over year. The facility received an A from the Leapfrog Client Safety Grade, nationally recognizing its achievements in protecting patients and providing safer healthcare. It earned the prestigious Magnet Designation in November 2020, the highest international honor that distinguishes organizations that meet rigorous nursing excellence standards. The facility serves as the region’s referral center for the only Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. There is a Level III neonatal intensive care unit and a pediatric emergency room providing pediatric subspecialists. The facility is recognized for having the busiest robotic surgery program in the region. It provides the only open heart and interventional cardiology services locally. The facility has a three-star rating from The Society of Thoracic Surgeons for patient care and outcomes. Unit Information: There are 32 individual rooms available. The unit is staffed by approximately 50 personnel. Patient-to-staff ratios are 5:1 during the day shift and 6:1 during the night shift. Common equipment includes walkers, bedside commodes, bladder scanners, and vital sign machines. The electronic medical record system used is Cerner. Required Skills: Candidates must have a current NC License and BLS certification. Client experience and orthopedic experience are preferred. The ideal candidate is a team player who can adapt to a fast-paced environment. Candidates should demonstrate a caring attitude towards patients. Weekends will be required every other week.
