Telemetry Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery Specialty

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Required to work 12 shifts each month, including 4 weekend shifts.

Job Description: Join a specialized healthcare team focused on cardiovascular and vascular surgery! The Telemetry Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care to patients with complex needs in a 15-bed unit. You will utilize advanced medical equipment and technology while working collaboratively with our dedicated clinical staff.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients on GE monitors and provide telemetry support.
• Titrate vasoactive medications including levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine.
• Assist with chest tube removals and pre-operative preparations for cardiovascular surgery.
• Participate in bedside shift reports and ensure the MyCare board is updated for patient experience.
• Support a collaborative healthcare environment, including floating to different units on a rotational basis.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Strong telemetry skills with experience in titrating vasoactive medications.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Preferred experience with chest tubes, arterial lines, and Flo-Trac monitoring.
