Job Responsibilities Provision of Procurement Support – Responsible for procurement support from quotation to delivery using current systems and processes. Provide excellent customer service to Project Management and Field personnel. This includes RFI/RFP/RFQ activities when relevant or able, analyzing quotation(s) for total value, creating, verifying, and editing purchase and rental orders/contracts or requests, and submitting orders to our network of suppliers. Material/Equipment Coordination – Assist in the coordination of material/equipment deliveries and perform other clerical duties related to the Procurement team. Vendor Management – Identify, qualify, and contact potential vendors to receive bids or quotes, and/or recommend alternative vendor options to customers. Key Responsibilities Conflict Management – Proactively communicate issues/concerns/delays/opportunities to stakeholders, resolve material/supplier issues that pose potential disruption, demonstrate sensitivity to communication styles, and use problem‑solving skills to preserve relationships. Functional/Technical Skills – Apply purchasing/trade knowledge to each transaction, prepare purchase orders using established procedures, work with customers on bill of materials, participate in project start‑up meetings, provide exceptional customer service, expedite supplier shipments, apply contract pricing, perform cost comparisons, use ERP systems, manage inventory levels, and apply Six Sigma/problem‑solving methodologies. Negotiating – Negotiate and obtain quotes, translate negotiation outcomes into supplier agreements, prepare preliminary data analysis, and participate in selective external negotiations, representing Procurement to Operations. Organizational Agility – Collaborate with others, influence stakeholders, request support resources, and build informal networks across the organization. Problem Solving – Apply continuous improvement concepts, gather data, use problem‑solving techniques, and implement innovative approaches. Process Management – Perform tasks within established process and guidelines, utilize metrics for adherence, and develop solutions to improve existing processes. Drive for Results – Plan, complete, and implement assignments on time, support onboarding of junior staff, meet daily deadlines, collaborate effectively, and track project results. Strategic Agility – Embrace company culture, understand corporate and departmental strategies, support them through individual efforts, and mentor entry‑level Procurement Agents. Qualifications Education – Associate’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a relevant trade/industry technical program. Experience – 2-5 years of Purchasing/Buying experience in the electrical industry or other relevant business. Technical Proficiency – Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office Suite, basic knowledge of the electrical construction trade, and basic purchasing procedures and practices. Travel – Less than 10%, with limited periodic travel to different FTI office/jobsite locations. Work Schedule – 7AM to 5PM, Monday‑Friday. Overtime may be required.
