Job Summary:
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care within a 14-bed unit, supporting patients in the immediate postoperative period. The assignment begins on August 10, 2026, and lasts for 13 weeks, with shift coverage during mids, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Job Details:

• Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent, valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, 1 or more years of PACU or ICU experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience, PACU experience, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Additional Information:
  • Call is required every fourth weekend and for one night per week.
  • Floating to endoscopy, pre-op, and surgery center is required.
  • Scrubs are provided.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) used is Cerner.
  • No accommodation for blocked schedules or GHs.
  • Routine patient ratio is 1:1 to 2.
  • The unit has 14 bays for patient care.
