Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Position Overview This role involves providing direct nursing care in a 19-bed Medical/Surgical unit, caring for patients with conditions like pneumonia, COPD, CHF, and diabetes, as well as performing procedures such as EGDs, lithotripsy, PEG tube placement, and cholecystectomies. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor patient care plans, communicate patient condition, and coordinate discharge planning with the healthcare team. Serve as primary coordinator of multidisciplinary care, ensuring physician and nursing orders are followed. Qualifications & Skills Current RN license or eligibility in Alabama. BLS certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross. Diploma from an accredited nursing school and professional licensure at the time of hire. Additional Details Full-time night shifts (7 pm to 7 am).
