SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for loading the delivery trucks for daily deliveries in an accurate and effective manner.

MAIN TASKS/JOB DUTIES/GOALS:

• Reports to Night Warehouse Manager
• Start time of 7:00pm until end of shift (no later than 4:00am)
• Reads production schedule, customer, work order, shipping order or pick list to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Sorts, places, and stacks material or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined specified location.
• Sorts and stores perishable goods in refrigerated rooms
• Marks materials with identifying information as needed
• Opens pallets, bales, crates, and other containers
• Records amounts of material or product received
• Coordinates with forklift operator in arranging product for shelving
• Assists in maintaining cleanliness of warehouse
• Assists in pulling employee sale contents, sample orders, and customer pick up orders
• Operate trucks to move to loading docks
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisor/manager

• EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education experience.
• LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measured, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
