Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Help support student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist working with 5th–12th graders in a dynamic educational environment near Attalla, AL. This contract opportunity is available as a full-time position, but can be divided into two part-time roles if that better meets your needs. Desired skills and qualifications:

• Valid SLP licensure in Alabama
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), or eligibility
• Previous experience in school-based SLP or pediatric settings preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare SLP practices as they apply to educational environments
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions for a range of speech, language, and communication disorders

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language needs, focusing on those in grades 5 through 12
• Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings as required
• Provide consultative support to teachers to aid in the integration of communication goals within the general curriculum
• Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, supportive school culture
