About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a traveler setting is required. Must have at least 1 year of Pediatric CVPICU experience, which is clearly documented in the work history. Critical care nursing experience is essential. License: Registered Nurses must hold both Missouri and Kansas state licenses or a compact license. Certifications: BLS and PALS certifications are required. Only AHA certifications will be accepted; RQI certifications will not be accepted. Must-Have: Must have floating capability and willingness to assist with patients on a cardiac med-surg floor as needed. Medical and religious exemptions for vaccines are the only accepted exceptions. Description: This role requires 2 years of experience. Locals are welcome to apply, and they will receive the same rate. Travelers must have worked at least 1 year in a travel capacity. Position involves possible floating duties. Daily patient ratios are 2 to 1 for nights. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics. Care will be provided to patients with congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis. The unit supports various interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. There will be pass/fail testing for medication and dosage, requiring a 100% pass rate within three attempts. The facility maintains a smoke-free environment.
