Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced OR RN Circulator to provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical setting. Responsible for ensuring patient safety, assisting surgical teams, and maintaining documentation throughout procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by verifying all necessary equipment, supplies, and implants are available.
• Assist anesthesiologists with intubation, extubation, and nerve blocks to support anesthesia management.
• Monitor and ensure patient safety during surgery by adhering to protocols such as surgical counts, time-outs, and specimen handling.
• Document all clinical actions accurately and efficiently in Cerner for compliance and record-keeping.
• Collaborate professionally with surgical techs, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and team members to facilitate smooth procedures.
• Respond appropriately to complex situations by utilizing the chain of command and escalating concerns as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid state RN license with minimum 1-2 years' experience in outpatient surgery and operating room settings.
• Possess active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner charting and a quick learning aptitude.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and patient-focused care attitude.
• Be willing to assist team members and adapt in a dynamic environment.
