Safety Manager ‑ Mission Critical Location: Tempe, AZ JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) seeks an experienced Safety Manager to oversee the field safety program across construction projects. The role involves monitoring site safety, compiling accident data, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies. Key Responsibilities Manage and implement the field safety program and team for construction projects. Communicate safety philosophies and values to foremen, superintendents, and project managers to ensure understanding and compliance. Assist staff in interpreting company, owner, and government safety policies and recommendations. Compile accident statistics, conduct trend analyses, and recommend program improvements. Administer and monitor company drug and alcohol testing programs in compliance with regulations. Implement accident and incident reporting protocols and work with the team to ensure timely submission. Support incident investigations, ensuring proper documentation and abatements. Coordinate with external insurance contacts on safety‑related claims and monitor medical treatment of injured employees. Conduct safety audits of construction projects; identify hazards, recommend abatement, and follow up to ensure resolution. Develop and implement training strategies and processes, including digital learning, classroom, and on‑the‑job training. Lead and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization. Qualifications Knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety regulations. Proficiency with company safety software and MS Office (Intermediate). Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (Advanced). Proficiency in construction technology and safety testing protocols. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field (Required). 8+ years of construction safety experience (Required). 0‑2 years of team lead or management experience (Required).
