Structural Steel Welder-Fitter Fabrication Specialist

Shape steel. Shape what’s next — Greater New Orleans Area

Step onto the floor and open the day’s drawings. Whether you clock in at 6:00 AM for days or 2:30 PM for nights, you’ll turn precise blueprints into finished structural components that fit, align, and pass inspection the first time.

How a shift flows

Study blueprints and plan cut lists, fits, and weld sequences.
Fabricate structural members: cut, assemble, and tack to exact specs.
Weld with confidence, controlling heat to prevent distortion and defects.
Inspect your work as you go to ensure quality and alignment.

What you bring

Structural steel experience (required).
Fluency reading blueprints and using fabrication/welding tools.
Craftsmanship, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail.

Compensation

Fitters: $22–$30/hr (based on experience)
Welders: $26–$32/hr (based on experience)

Shifts

Day: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Night: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
