Lab Chemist I

Position Overview Hebron, OH Facility. Lab Chemist I. Responsible for sample preparation, analysis of samples to determine chemical and physical properties using chromatography and spectroscopy, and assisting in the management of an industrial water treatment plant. Responsibilities Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times. Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Performs analysis of samples following prescribed procedures, solves minor problems. Calibrates and utilizes instrumentation. Maintains equipment and suggests solutions to problems. Completes all paperwork associated with the analyses in a neat and timely fashion. Ensures that all work meets applicable QA/QC guidelines. Manages supply in their area of responsibility, ensuring proper housekeeping and best management practices. Properly manages waste generated from analytical procedures. Qualifications Able to operate yellow iron (backhoe, excavator, front end loader). Minimal computer skills. Loading/unloading bulk liquids & solids. Forklift work. Housekeeping. Wearing PPE. Available to join the snow team in the cold months. Clean shaven; mustache acceptable. 1+ years' experience in operating an excavator, backhoe and/or roll‑off truck. Previous industrial labor experience considered an asset.
