Role Overview and Purpose: Neighborhood Healthcare is proud to offer shadowing opportunities for individuals curious about pursuing a future in medicine. Shadowing allows you to observe one of our licensed providers (MD, DO, PA, or NP) in a real clinic setting, gaining firsthand exposure to the daily work of healthcare professionals. Please note: this is an observation-only experience with no hands‑on responsibilities. This opportunity is for individuals interested in exploring a career in healthcare. It is not designed for those currently enrolled in a clinical program and cannot be used to fulfill school‑required hours. Responsibilities: Observe patient‑provider interactions under the supervision of a licensed provider Gain insight into the daily workflow of primary care, including patient visits, charting, and interdisciplinary collaboration Learn about the roles and responsibilities of different healthcare team members Reflect on your experiences to help determine if a healthcare career is right for you Requirements: Must not be actively enrolled in a medical, nursing, or allied health program requiring clinical hours Ability to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance is required) Professional demeanor and respect for both patients and staff Willingness to abide by all clinic policies and shadowing guidelines Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
