Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical (Contract, 13 Weeks)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 14-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Operate and manage infusion therapy using Alaris pumps
• Document and manage patient records using the MEDITECH electronic medical records system
• Assist with or support procedures including bronchoscopy, EGD, and colonoscopy
• Collaborate with a unit team consisting of RNs, PCTs, and a float charge nurse coordinator
• Adhere to rotating weekend scheduling requirements as part of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability in cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Flexible, team-oriented personality well-suited to a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
