Job Title: Program Instructor

Position Summary:


As a Program Instructor, you will have the incredible opportunity to teach your favorite activities-whether it's soccer, basketball, toddler playtime, arts and crafts, or any other skill you love! Classes will cater to a diverse range of ages (from 2yrs through Adult) and will focus on fostering learning and skill building in a fun, supportive environment.

Essential Functions:
- Must be able to prepare and follow lesson plans that progressively develop skills
- Commit to teaching a class once a week
- Develop positive, encouraging relationships with participants
- Actively recruit new participants and promote your class to ensure continued growth and engagement
- Be an advocate for the YMCA's mission to strengthen our communities and promote our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

- Ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for participants of all backgrounds and abilities
- Strong communication skills with a knack for building rapport with kids and adults
- Creativity and enthusiasm in lesson planning and class activities

Physical Demands:

• Required to physically perform and communicate exercise routines.
• Required to demonstrate physical stamina and agility, and to stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, run, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to react to emergency situations by quick movements, strenuous activity, and communicate in noisy environment.

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
