Extant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic surgical team at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive trauma care and perform emergency surgeries, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. Trauma Program: Hybrid OR (16 surgical suites, includes 1 designated for trauma) 32 bed open ICU (16 surg + 16 medical) HCA hospital network of 5 hospitals funnels into Research MC Trauma activations avg 3000/ yr (20% penetrating) General Surgery Residency with teaching opportunities Clinical Research opportunities Board Certified Surgery with Trauma/Surgical Critical Care Fellowship required We offer full time employee benefits including: Competitive Compensation 401k Retirement Account Malpractice Coverage Avg 15 shifts per month with 26 weeks off per year Backend operational support Community: Kansas City is known for its affordable cost of living and friendly Midwest vibe, making it a great place to visit or live.
