Nurse Practitioner Job Type: Full Time | Job Location: New Hartford, NY | Job Level: Practitioner Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry. This role involves diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing patient care, and promoting health and wellness. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care to patients. Education and Experience Master's Degree in Nursing Current Nurse Practitioner certification and licensure in the state of New York Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare practices Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge Medicine and Dentistry : Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. Includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive healthcare measures. Psychology : Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Biology : Knowledge of plant and animal organisms, their tissues, cells, functions, interdependencies, and interactions with each other and the environment. English Language : Knowledge of structure and content of the English language including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions. Prescribe medications and other treatments. Develop and implement patient care plans. Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
