Travel CNA Job Details

• Position: Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Location: Seward, Alaska
• Start Date: November 24, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $970–$1,050
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week; four 12-hour shifts
• Shift Options: Day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., or night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Staff are generally scheduled on either days or nights rather than rotating between both.
• Healthcare Setting: Long-term care
• Patient Population: Geriatric residents, including individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, TBI, and behavioral health needs
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:20
• Charting: Electronic charting required
• Orientation: Facility orientation is provided; Alaska Food Worker Certification is completed during on-site orientation
• Additional Expectations: Floating within scope to support nearby sister locations may be required

Travel CNA Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant experience, including long-term care experience
• Previous travel healthcare experience is required; first-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Current CNA certification or an Alaska CNA license that is pending after submission of the state application
• Applicants with a pending Alaska CNA license must provide proof of application submission, fee payment, fingerprint submission, educational verification, and license verification
• Applicants with a pending Alaska CNA license must also provide an active CNA license from another state and documentation of completion of a formal CNA training program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated competency with electronic charting and essential long-term care skills
• Ability to provide two professional references covering recent relevant experience
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates are not accepted
• Ability to work scheduled holidays as needed during the assignment

Long-Term Care CNA Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents in a long-term care environment
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, oral care, toileting, perineal care, dressing, feeding, and incontinence care
• Obtain and document vital signs, blood glucose readings, pulse oximetry, and other assigned measurements
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, repositioning, pressure injury prevention, and equipment such as Hoyer lifts and skylifts
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment, including changing occupied and unoccupied linens
• Follow infection prevention practices, isolation precautions, and appropriate personal protective equipment procedures
• Observe residents closely and promptly report changes in condition to the licensed nursing team
• Support residents with cognitive, behavioral, and other age-related care needs
• Complete accurate electronic documentation in accordance with facility standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team and float within scope when needed to meet resident care requirements
