Adapted Program Manager

The Adapted Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, coordination, and execution of JTCC's adapted tennis programming and athlete experience. This role ensures the successful delivery of year-round programming for athletes with disabilities and military service members while supporting the organization's mission of \"Tennis for Everybody.\" The Manager will oversee program operations, athlete engagement, coach coordination, community partnerships, communications, and event execution across all adapted tennis initiatives, including wheelchair tennis, para standing tennis, tennis for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities, veterans programming, and integrated opportunities. This position is designed to sustain and scale JTCC's nationally recognized adapted tennis ecosystem through strong operational leadership, relationship management, and cross-departmental collaboration. The role will work closely with a strategic contracted advisor/consultant supporting long-term planning, coach education, systems development, fundraising strategy, and national alignment initiatives. Responsibilities Program Operations & Athlete Experience (45%) Manage the execution of all year-round adapted tennis programming, including classes, clinics, camps, tournaments, workshops, and community events. Coordinate seasonal schedules, registrations, attendance tracking, staffing plans, court usage, and athlete communications. Create high-quality athlete and family experiences through on-court coaching that fosters belonging, independence, confidence, and long-term participation. Support onboarding and retention processes for new and returning athletes with disabilities. Ensure accurate participant records, waivers, program rosters, and data collection for reporting and grant requirements. Collaborate with coaching staff to ensure programming aligns with athlete development pathways and inclusive coaching practices. Monitor participant feedback and athlete experience metrics to support departmental quality standards and continuous improvement. Coach & Volunteer Coordination (15%) Support recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, and communication of coaches, volunteers, and support staff. Assist in implementing adapted tennis coach education initiatives and inclusive coaching best practices. Coordinate volunteer needs for camps, tournaments, and community events. Foster a welcoming and mission-aligned culture among staff, volunteers, and athletes. Event & Competition Management (15%) Support operational execution of adapted tennis tournaments, camps, and special events. Coordinate logistics including hospitality, scheduling, athlete services, transportation coordination, communications, and event staffing. Assist with tournament operations, athlete services, volunteer coordination, and event setup/breakdown. Work collaboratively with internal departments and external partners to deliver high-quality athlete-centered experiences. Partnerships & Community Engagement (15%) Maintain relationships with community organizations, rehabilitation hospitals, veterans organizations, schools, national governing bodies, and adaptive sport partners. Support partnership fulfillment and communication for grants, sponsors, and in-kind supporters. Assist with outreach initiatives to increase awareness and participation in adapted tennis programming. Represent JTCC professionally within the adaptive sports and tennis communities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. 3+ years of experience in program management, sports management, adaptive sports, recreation, education, nonprofit leadership, or related fields. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and operational priorities simultaneously. Experience working collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders. Commitment to inclusive practices and athlete-centered environments. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and tournament/event schedules. Current PTR/RSPA/USTA Coaching certifications or willingness to attain them. Safesport approved. Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000 annually.
