Title Dental hygienist Job Description Perform thorough dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and other preventive treatments. Conduct detailed oral health assessments, including periodontal charting and risk analysis. Take, develop, and interpret high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays). Provide personalized patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and post-treatment care. Collaborate effectively with the Dentist and support staff to formulate comprehensive treatment plans. Apply fluoride and dental sealants as prescribed. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records. Ensure the highest standards of sterilization and infection control are met, adhering strictly to OSHA guidelines. Salary Range full-time $40 - $45 per hour - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Shift & Schedule Monday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Tuesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Friday: Closed Requirements Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Michigan. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Demonstrated proficiency in standard dental hygiene procedures and radiographic techniques. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills focused on patient rapport and education. A strong commitment to detail, organization, and maintaining professionalism. Preferences Previous experience working in a private practice setting. New graduates who meet the required qualifications are also strongly encouraged to apply. Experience with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar dental practice management software. Familiarity with digital imaging technology.
