Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence
• Perform age-appropriate physical examinations and obtain medical histories
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each child's clinical needs
• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing
• Prescribe medications and provide appropriate medication management
• Provide routine well-child visits, developmental screenings, and preventive care
• Administer and manage childhood immunizations
• Evaluate and treat common pediatric illnesses, infections, and minor injuries
• Provide anticipatory guidance and education to parents and caregivers
• Monitor growth, development, nutrition, and overall wellness
• Perform routine outpatient procedures as appropriate, including injections, wound care, and suturing
• Identify concerns requiring referral to pediatric specialists and coordinate continuity of care
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
• Promote patient- and family-centered care throughout the patient experience

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification (PA-C)
• Active or eligible Arizona Physician Assistant license
• DEA certification or eligibility
• Pediatric or primary care experience preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills
• Excellent communication skills with children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers
